5 Steps To Improve The Performance Of Personal Computers

Step 1: Remove the Spywares - The first step with which you can proceed is removal of the spywares from your computer system. For proper functioning and good performance the personal computers should be free from spywares. Spywares generally exists in the form of Trojan horses, spams or viruses.

Presence of spywares or viruses in the computer system causes more than 75% of the complexities or corruption of the system information. Most of the people are unaware that almost 85% of the personal computers are infected with one or more spywares/viruses. To tackle with the spywares there are many anti-virus and anti-spywares available in market and over internet.

By removing the spywares from your computer system, your computer’s performance will definitely increase up to a great extent. One thing you must do to protect your computer system from spywares or viruses is to update your anti-virus. 

You must update your anti-virus daily or once in 2 days to keep your computer safe.
Step 2: Remove unwanted programs - Removing unwanted or unnecessary programs from computer systems will boost up the performance of personal computers.

It is generally a good practice as the unwanted programs will just occupy a system space which in turn slows down the system processing. Check for the unwanted programs in your system once in a 2-3 weeks.

To remove the unwanted programs go to the start button on the extreme bottom left corner pf desktop, then click control panel, select the add/remove programs option, check the list and remove the unwanted programs. By doing so your computer’s computation speed will gradually increase, this in turn will increase the performance of your computer system.

Step 3: Remove temporary files - Sometimes the personal computers get full with the virtual memory. When this happen the computer system may run slow and gradually decreases the performance of the computer. 

This generally happens because everything you do on your system, every page you surf over internet and every document you type or edit is saved somewhere on the computer even after you close the document. To overcome this problem, remove the temporary files from your computer system. 

To do so open the internet explorer, go to tools option, then a message box will pop up and you can easily remove the temporary files as well as cookies of your system. This will improve the performance of the computer system.

Step 4: Update Hardware drivers - The next step to improve the performance is to do Windows optimization. Updated drivers will avoid bugs which generally occur in the personal computers. In order to ensure system stability & reliability, you must use full version releases instead of beta versions.

If you have updated hardware device drivers then the graphics card and motherboard of your system will function more fluently. So updating hardware drivers is good to improve the performance of computer system.

Step 5: Update Windows - To maintain the consistent performance of personal computers updating windows is a good task. The windows latest updated programs are easily available over the internet. You can easily download these programs and install them so as to keep your windows up to date and safe from any viruses or spams/spywares.
