If you have never cleaned out the files on the computer then it is going to run slow. This is something that is very common because people are not aware that the computer will actually build up files from the internet and software programs that are stored.

These are not necessary files and as such they can be removed. If you remove them then you will see a big time difference in the way that the slow computer is moving.

Spyware is also well known to slow down a computer system. This is because the spyware is actually a program that is running in the background and mining all the data that you have in place.

The longer it runs the slower the computer will become. To take care of this issue you need to be sure that you are running comprehensive anti spyware program that will find and remove all instances of spies on the system.

Programs
You can also slow the computer down with too many programs running at once. Many people will have their favorite programs start when they turn on the computer and this is a tremendous drain on the resources. So you have to be sure that you are taking this into account.

Always remember that you should not have the programs start until you have told them too and not when the operating system is still booting up.
