If the screen is not coming up but you can hear the computer running you have some options as well. Again, is the monitor plugged in? The blue screen, often referred to as the blue screen of death, is the computers way of telling you that there is something wrong. There are times that you can fix this issue but more often than not you are going to have to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

You will lose all data on the drive but it is better than paying someone five dollars per minute to tell you what you need to do.
